Q: How long is my permit valid?
ANSWER
All permits sold in on iSportsman are valid until the date of expiration found on your permit.
Q: I created an account in iSportsman last year, do I need to create a new account each year?
ANSWER.
No, if you already have an iSportsman account you do NOT need to create a new account again!
Q: Does the Natural Resources Office offer family permits?
ANSWER.
No, each individual person must register for his/her own personal account.
Q: I've forgotten my username and/or password what do I do?
ANSWER.
1.) If you forgot your username and still have a copy of your printed (or electronic) permit, use your
permit number as your username to log in.
2.) If you forgot your password and did not enter an email address when you registered, contact the
Natural Resources office for assistance. Michael.luna.17@us.af.mil
Q: How come I can't see any available permits?
ANSWER.
Everyone who wishes to purchase permits on JBMDL must watch the safety brief and correctly answer the questions. After answering the questions correctly, you'll be able to view the available permits.
Q: I can't find the permit that I want in the list of available permits and I have viewed the videos?
ANSWER.
If you accidentally click to select a permit, the number 1 will appear next to your purchasing cart (as it does with most online shopping websites, like Amazon). If the permit you have selected is in your cart, it may not be found in the list of available permits. Some permits can be selected multiple times, but most can only be selected once. If you cannot find the permit you want in the list of available permits, check your cart: look at the top right of the screen for the blue button that shows your cart.
Q: What if I purchased the wrong online permit?
ANSWER.
The NRO cannot refund online sales. (ALL SALES ARE FINAL) Please double-check which permit you are purchasing to make sure you are purchasing the correct permit.
Q: How do I know what areas are closed or open?
ANSWER.
We require all visitors on Joint Base Mcguire-Dix-Lakehurst to check area status before entering JBMDL for area closures. JBMDL updates area status weekly and forecasts closures for hunters up to 10 days in advance. Unscheduled closures may occur, in which case you should pay attention to any signs, road closures, and personnel in the field. You should double-check Isporstman area closures before checking in. If you are unable to check-in to an area, you are not permitted to enter the area.
Q: Can I purchase a day pass for (fishing and or hunting)?
ANSWER.
Currently, this option is not available.
Q: What time can I sign in/out to hunt/fish?
ANSWER.
Hunting/Scouting you can sign in/out 1.5 hours before sunrise and 1.5 hours after sunset. Fishing is 1.5 hours before sunrise and 1.5 hours after sunset.
Q: What hunting Zone Is JBMDL located and why is this important?
ANSWER.
Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, U.S. Air Force is split into two (2) zones for the state if NJ for whitetail deer. The dates vary on the start of the seasons. When hunting on McGuire & Dix it is Zone 37. When Hunting Lakehurst it is zone 53. See page 38 of NJ Digest for the map. For Waterfowl JBMDL is in the NORTHEN ZONE This is important because if you are required to follow the rules of the zone.
Q: Do I Have to report Harvest?
ANSWER.
Yes, Harvest Report Requirement: To be legal, all deer harvested must be reported on the JB MDL iSportsman webpage and by using NJ Fish and Wildlife’s Automated Harvest Report System at (855) 448-6865 or NJFishandWildlife.com/ahrs.htm. Hunters will be assigned a Confirmation Number which must be kept with the deer and its parts. See Page 31 of NJ Digest
